PACE is unique, with a hybrid mission to assess internationally trained physicians for licensure in Nova Scotia while also providing high quality primary care.

The purpose of PACE is to offer work-place based assessments in office-based primary care in a centralized location for internationally trained physicians.

What is Pace?

  • A pathway to Canada to practice primary care medicine.
  • A partnership between the Medical Council of Canada, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia, and the Nova Scotia government.
  • A competency-based program, not time based.
  • PACE will assess your skills in 12 weeks or less in a clinical setting.
  • No entry exams required (LMCC).
  • Accelerated path to full licensure in Canada.
  • 2 outcomes – Hospitalist Role or Community based Primary Care Physician.
  • Return of service required.

You will be eligible to receive $1000 as referral fee.
