We have an exciting new opportunity for a FT Physiotherapist at an owner-operated family practice in the heart of beautiful Port Moody, BC. This modern and welcoming clinic offers private assessment rooms, a spacious and fully equipped gym, and all the new therapeutic modalities to help their patients achieve a successful recovery including Mechanical Decompression and ShockWave Therapy. 

This collaborative practice follows the Australian standards of physiotherapy and offers services ranging from physiotherapy, kinesiology, group classes, and virtual appointments. They have an immediate opportunity for a FT Physiotherapist to join their professional, agile and supportive team. New grads are welcome to apply!

The Schedule:

The practice is open 6 days per week: Monday-Friday 8am – 8pm, Saturdays 8am – 4pm, however they are very flexible with scheduling (expected hours are anywhere from 6 – 24 hours per week)

 

Your Day-to-Day

  • Assess patients’ physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement treatment plans using various physiotherapy techniques and modalities
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

 

What You Bring to the Team:

  • CPTBC Physiotherapist License (required)
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to work in a team with a willingness to learn and collaborate with other therapists (including Registered Massage Therapy, Kinesiologist, Chiropractor) 
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to use clinic software efficiently 
  • Reliable and professional
  • Positive and creative (very useful when devising exercise plans and provide encouragement to support the client)
 
Clinical Skills:
 
  • They will train on site as well, however they would like to start with good clinical knowledge base of assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
  • IMS/Dry Needling (Desired but not mandatory)
  • Concussion Training (Desired but not mandatory)
  • Other physiotherapy specializations (such as Chronic Pain, Hand Therapy, Thoracic Ring)
  • They would love to train new grads to level up their skills in assessment, treatment, manual handling (joint glides, and manipulations), and use of electrophysical agents such as ShockWave Therapy, Mechanical Decompression, Ultrasound Therapy, Low Level Lazer Therapy and Dynamic Compression
